Firm History

Levin Porter Associates Inc. was founded in Dayton, Ohio in 1960. The services of Levin Porter Associates Inc, with its consultants, includes planning, programming, architecture, interior design, cost estimating, engineering and specialized technologies required for a complete project. For over 40 years, the firm has been building a reputation based on quality design and responsive service. This commitment to a client centered practice is based on the following principles:

The firm maintains a 24 person staff of architects, planners and interior designers, which supports structural, mechanical, electrical and other specialized disciplines as required by the needs of each specific project. The firm has developed a diverse regional practice which includes K-12 educational projects, colleges/universities, health care facilities, industrial/ manufacturing facilities, museums, performing arts facilities, transportation, community and recreation centers, corporate/ commercial offices, libraries and banks. The firm has received over 75 national, state, and local awards for excellence for a wide variety of projects, from both the communities in which the projects are located and from professional societies. Levin Porter Associates received the AIA/Ohio Gold Medal Firm Award for design excellence and responsive client services. The award is the highest honor the society can bestow on a firm. Levin Porter Associates was the second Ohio firm to be so honored.
